There’s nothing quite like the joyful buzz of a school summer party — the clink of glasses, the scent of barbecued food, the sound of live music filling the air — and for St Mary’s School in Twickenham, their annual PTA Summer Party is the ultimate celebration. As the school’s main fundraising event of the year, it brings together parents, staff, and friends for an evening of fun, laughter, and community spirit — all in the name of raising essential funds to support the school.
Odyssey Events has had the privilege of being part of this special evening for the past seven years. Over that time, we’ve brought along a range of our much-loved booths including the Odyssey Photobooth, the dazzling Selfie Mirror, and the immersive 360 Video Booth. But this year, we introduced something a little different — and it turned out to be the perfect choice for a perfect summer’s evening.
With the sun beating down on one of the hottest days of the year, guests were naturally drawn to the school’s beautiful garden to make the most of the glorious weather. That’s where the Odyssey Roamer came into its own. Unlike our traditional booth setups, the Roamer isn’t tied to one spot — we bring the photobooth experience directly to your guests, wherever the party is!
Our team circulated through the garden while everyone enjoyed their welcome drinks (and a little more Prosecco… and perhaps a cocktail or two!). There was a relaxed and cheerful atmosphere as guests posed for spontaneous snaps with friends, all without having to step away from their conversations or drinks. Later in the evening, once the dancing began, we took the Roamer onto the dancefloor to capture the party in full swing — high energy, big smiles, and a lot of air-guitar!
One of the major highlights of this year’s Summer Party was the much-anticipated return of The Fake Tan Band. Known for their fun-loving vibe and crowd-pleasing covers, they’ve been a firm favourite with the school community for years, though they’d been missing from the party line-up recently. Their comeback was met with rapturous applause — and once they hit the stage, the garden transformed into a full-blown festival!
From classics to guilty pleasures, they had everyone up and dancing (and yes, the Roamer was there to capture those “dads-at-a-wedding” dance moves too!). The music, the energy, and the sheer joy on everyone’s faces made it a night to remember.

St Mary’s PTA pulled off another incredible evening. From delicious food and flowing drinks to great music and community spirit, the Summer Party was everything a school celebration should be. We’re proud to have played our part in creating memories that will last a lifetime — and, of course, helping raise much-needed funds for a fantastic school.
